News – Artist Antonia Jolley to launch new Self Love Club!
Hot on the heels of her successful ‘Every Body’ exhibition last autumn, body postivity artist, Antonia Jolley, has recently announced the launch of a brand new series of workshops named the ‘Self Love Club’. Here, Britain Uncovered takes a look at what this new venture involves and provides an overview of what participants can expect.
Having recently announced the creation of the brand new Self Love Club, the aim of the workshops, Antonia tells us, is for attendees to learn how to love themselves more, whilst creating encouraging art in a positive and accepting environment. Across the upcoming workshops, which officially get started in May and will take place throughout the year, participants will get the opportunity to create tote bags, mugs, glassware, candles, plant pots, canvases and more.
Antonia, an artist dedicated to making people feel empowered and confident within themselves, explains, “Self Love Club is a creative hub that is focused around bettering your mental health and learning how to love yourself more. This is a place for all ages to get creative, with a different arty activity every session from painting tote bags, to canvases, to pottery.”
The first class is a tote bag painting session which is taking place on Saturday 21st May at No. 63 Main Street in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The class runs from 10.30am to midday, and tickets – which are priced at £15 – include access to all art materials, along with a cupcake and a goody bag.
In addition to getting the chance to paint your own tote bag alongside Antonia, we’re also hearing that there will also be lots of feel-good interactive elements to get involved with too. For more information, and to buy a ticket or to book a private party, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the artist’s brand new Self Love Club Facebook page.
